Holiday Ladies Night

Last night, I attended a special holiday ladies night at our club and it was a great way to kick off the season and get in the Christmas spirit. It was a much needed respite from my busy Thanksgiving weekend and a great opportunity to catch up with friends. The club was decorated beautifully and there were Christmas trees everywhere; from the foyer, to the courtyard, as well as the two dining rooms.

We were able to do a little shopping from the jewelery, purse and clothing vendors set up in one of the dining rooms and I even found a Christmas gift, so I could check another thing off my list. There were many pretty items I was tempted to purchase, both for myself and as gifts.

The dinner was a tasting menu and was paired with some delicious wines. We enjoyed a first course of seared scallops, a second course of clam linguini and as a final course; a salad featuring duck breast. The dessert was scrumptious too - an apple dumpling with ice cream and caramel sauce.

Delicious food, good wine and shopping - the perfect ladies night :-)

Happy Tuesday!
