Art Show on a Sunday

My daughter, Melissa and I had a lovely day on Sunday. We spent a few hours doing two of our favorite things - going out for a late breakfast and then attending an art show, set up in the streets of a small town nearby. I even found a few relatively inexpensive treasures to buy.

Right away, these garden decorations caught my eye.

This pretty piece came home with me to help soften and add some interest to the brick wall on the side of my house.

There were beautiful paintings.

Pottery, both decorative and serving pieces.

This booth also was a favorite, with the bright colors and the whimsical flowers and birds. I will keep this artist's card on hand, for the future.

I did come home with a pretty coaster to hold my coffee mug. I'll place it on the nightstand next to my bed.

And, my collection of fun bracelets, that I think make any outfit more interesting, increased by one. I just loved the colors and shapes of this one and will wear it a lot this summer.

We wandered from booth to booth, stopping and admiring. It was a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon and the pieces I purchased will remind me of this day in June with my daughter.

Happy Monday!

  5. Sounds like a perfect day - brunch and an art show. It's hard to beat that. Your coaster is so pretty, and such a fun bracelet, too. I tend to gather business cards at art shows, also. So often I see something that I'm just not prepared to buy, but hope to come back to someday.

  6. A favorite summer past time...an art fair. I love to see what the crafters are up to. I used to do crafts a few years ago and was often at these shows with my art work.
    Sounds like a fun day.
