Top 3 Pinned Recipes

When you hit the publish button on a post, especially one with a recipe, it is always interesting which ones take on a life of their own and become popular on Pinterest. It definitely requires a good photo to catch interest, but I think the common factor is the simplicity of the recipe. That is why crock pot recipes are consistently popular with pinners. We are all looking for a quick easy way to get a delicious dinner on the table and these two crock pot recipes fit that description.

I was surprised that a recipe for homemade dog biscuits was so popular, but I probably shouldn't have been. It is obvious that we all love our pets and are looking for a healthy alternative to the treats at the pet store. And, if you can make cookies, you can make these fun dog biscuits.

Hope you enjoy revisiting these 3 recipes.

Happy Monday! Stay warm - we are digging out of a huge snowstorm and the bitter cold temperatures are making this a memorable start to our winter :-)

A Father Daughter Trip of a Lifetime

When it was determined that Michigan State was going to the Rose Bowl, we immediately put our name on the alumni association tour group list. When it was obvious that only two would be able to go, it was an easy decision - my husband and daughter, who is a junior at MSU would have the trip of a lifetime.

They arrived in Los Angeles and found Spartans wherever they went. Sparty was at their hotel and the 60,000 other MSU fans were out in full force, enjoying the California sun.

The first thing they did was head to Santa Monica beach and put their feet in the ocean.

A little nighttime walk in downtown LA, to enjoy the holiday lights, after some outdoor ice skating.

Before the game, they attended the Tournament of Roses parade, with reserved grandstand seating and also had lunch at an alumni tailgate near the Rose Bowl.

Finally at the Rose Bowl - they were so excited for the game to finally start.

As the sun set on the beautiful stadium, they watched the Spartans win the 100th Rose Bowl game in dramatic fashion. It will be a trip they will never forget!

Green Roses at The Rose Bowl

My daughter sent me this photo from the MSU Rose Bowl pep rally where they handed out green and white roses to the crowd. The MSU Alumni Association, alone, sent ten planes, filled with Spartan fans and LA has been taken over by the 60,000 + Spartans that made the trip, all fired up and excited about the game today.

Go Green from this proud MSU alumni! Beat Stanford!
