A Sweet and Simple Christmas Porch

My front porch this Christmas season has a sweet and simple welcoming display, all ready to greet guests and family as they arrive to celebrate the holiday season. I decided to make some changes this year, limiting the display to a group of three, so each item could stand out on its own.

To give a pop of red Christmas color, I placed this metal house in the display and it truly becomes the star. This was purchased last year at Target for my mantel, but I like to move things around and love how it looks on the front porch.

To add height to the corner, I always am drawn to this simple large grapevine wreath with a seasonal ribbon added, oh so casually. I found this sweet plaid burlap ribbon at Michaels and have a feeling you may see it pop up in other spots around my house. And, there is no need for a fussy bow; a simple knot lends easy charm.

Finally, a small green Christmas tree with no adornment other than a burlap base and a quick tie of the plaid ribbon, complete the simple and sweet feel.

My first Christmas decorating project done just in time to welcome December. Won't the red house look beautiful with our Christmas snow dusting its rooftop?

Happy Tuesday!

  14. Sweet and Simple is the way to go this holiday year for me!! Your porch is a perfect example of it! I'd love to put a small tree outside..but our northern winds would have three houses over in on o time! Love your ribbon.
